Featuring Blue or Green Dials, a Practical Watch Designed for Everyday Wear
The Dietrich brand, founded by Swiss-based French designer Emmanuel Dietrich in 2010, emerged with a vision to share his unique horological perspective after 17 years of designing for major brands. The brand emphasizes soft, comfortable lines and organic forms, creating watches that extend the wearer's personality in both fit and style.
Dietrich introduced its first collection at Baselworld in 2014 with the Organic Time, a semi-skeletonized watch inspired by natural shapes and forms. Eschewing straight lines and harsh angles, the brand continues this philosophy with its newest release, the ED-1, a versatile watch that stays true to the company's roots.
The Dietrich ED-1, housed in a predominantly brushed stainless steel case, features a rounded hexagonal shape. The watch measures 39mm in diameter and 46mm lug-to-lug, with a domed sapphire crystal and a thickness of 11mm. These dimensions and the ergonomic shape are designed for daily comfort on the wrist. The screw-down crown enhances water resistance to 100 meters, while the tinted crystal case back offers a unique glimpse of the movement.
The ED-1 dial comes in two colors, blue and green, each featuring a fumé effect. The dials are constructed using a sandwich technique, with the upper layer containing the color and the lower layer made of white X1 Super-LumiNova. The central section of the dial boasts a classic cross-hairs design, and the leaf hands, matching the dial color, are treated with white X1 Super-LumiNova, including the tip of the central seconds hand.
Powered by the Sellita SW200-1, the Dietrich ED-1 offers a 38-hour power reserve and a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour. The tinted sapphire case back provides a view of the movement, with the winding rotor engraved with the Dietrich logo.
