A special hue with a limited edition of 20 pieces for the occasion of Dubai Watch Week
De Bethune watches have always featured distinctive designs, from bold, asymmetrical shapes to complex functions. The company has won many awards for its watches and has become a landmark in the industry. On the occasion of Dubai Watch Week, it is reviving one of the company’s most successful designs, the “Digital” edition, which was first introduced in 2006.

The DBD Digitale was a limited edition of 39 pieces in white and rose gold. With a case shaped somewhat like a horseshoe and a dial featuring digital displays reminiscent of pocket watches created during the Art Deco era, it marked a significant departure from anything ever produced by the brand. Its uniqueness still endures today. One remarkable feature in the first edition was the rotating orb moon phase indicator with the blue titanium starry sky on the caseback.
In 2021, De Bethune collaborated with Swizz Beatz, an American DJ. This collaboration introduces DE BETHUNE DBD SEASON 2, a new edition of the DBD limited to 13 pieces. It comes with an anthracite-colored zirconium mirror-polished case and a burgundy dial.
Now, on the occasion of Dubai Watch Week, De Bethune is reviving these successful designs with the "Digital" in a new edition, The new Digital Evergreen watch a creation that goes beyond mere elegance. This exceptional piece derives its distinction from the color green, a hue rich in meaning in Arab culture, symbolizing optimism and creativity.
The DBD Evergreen features a titanium mirror-polished 42.6 mm case, with the crown at 12 o'clock, also distinguished by the cone-shaped lugs. The upper lug is hinged and attached to a metal tab to fix the strap, while the bottom lugs are strangely shaped. The case appears substantial and wears large, but it is really comfortable, with the watch topped with an anti-reflective sapphire glass.
The green dial is decorated with vertical Geneva waves, and the windows to display the time and day-date-month are small. The calendar aperture sits below the screwed-on De Bethune plaque, a single-line window with two visible jewels on the sides. The semi-circle window for the minutes is at the center of the dial, with the minutes disc moving at a calculated speed, and the jumping hour aperture is at 6 o’clock. The numbers and letters are black printed on a white background; the dial looks rather severe in poor lighting.
The transparent caseback reveals the manually wound DB2044 caliber, the same one used in all previous DBD watches, created by Denis Flageollet. It is technically superb and beautifully executed. It's worth noting that this caliber is equipped with the latest titanium balance wheel with white gold inserts that beats at 28,800vph. Additionally, it has a silicon escape wheel and De Bethune’s patented, triple pare-chute shock-absorbing system chamfered and polished, not to mention the 5-day power reserve.
In a limited edition, with only 20 numbered and engraved pieces on the back, the DBD Evergreen will be delivered with a two-tone beige and green textile strap matching the dial, as well as an extra-supple black alligator strap with pin buckle in grade 5 titanium, while the company did not unveil the price.
