A new size, and a newly developed hand-guilloché pattern on the dial
Czapek is a renowned Swiss watchmaker with a rich history that goes back to 1845, founded by François Czapek in Geneva. Czapek was revived in 2015 by a group of watch enthusiasts with the introduction of the "Quai des Bergues" collection, specifically the “Quai des Bergues No.33bis”, that won the Public Prize at the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève (GPHG) in 2016.

Today, Czapek introduces two fresh variations of its "Quai des Bergues" model, showcasing a redesigned 40.5 x 11.9mm stainless steel case. This updated case maintains the iconic style elements of the "Quai des Bergues" collection while incorporating significant improvements for a more refined and practical design. Furthermore, there has been a subtle adjustment made to the lug angles, guaranteeing a comfortable and secure fit on the wrist. Both timepieces come equipped with a curved sapphire crystal featuring an anti-reflective treatment on the inner surface of the top and caseback, and they offer a water resistance of up to 50 meters.

In harmony with the updated case size, Czapek, in collaboration with dial-maker Metalem, introduced an entirely new guilloché pattern named 'Guilloché Double Soleil.' This name draws inspiration from the atmospheric optical phenomenon known as the 'parhelion', which appears to be an atmospheric optical phenomenon that consists of a bright spot to one or both sides of the Sun, typically occurring during winter. The Double Soleil is inspired by the 1930’s Art Deco era, with its pattern attaining a bold and contemporary appearance, creating a captivating visual illusion.

The dial is available in Deep Blue, Tuxedo Black, with elongated Czapek indices, and rhodium plated arrow hands, with a power reserve and week days subdial at 4:30, and small seconds subdial at 7:30.

Powering the watch is the manually wound Caliber SXH1, which has undergone new enhancements, by creating open-worked sandblasted bridges on the gear train. The movement operates at 21,600 vph (3Hz), and offers 7 days of power reserve thanks to the two barrel springs. Both watches are equipped with an alligator leather strap that matches the dials color, and is secured by a stainless steel pin buckle.
