Handcrafted in Porcelain in Collaboration with the Hataman Touen Workshop
Credor expands its ultra-thin Goldfeather collection with a stainless steel case—an unprecedented choice for these high-end editions. This new release marks a notable evolution for the Japanese manufacture, whose ultra-thin timepieces place strong emphasis on artistic expression and artisanal craftsmanship. Originally developed for the Japanese domestic market, the Goldfeather GCBY991 Imari Nabeshima Porcelain is Credor’s first launch of the year.
Reintroduced as a collection in 2023, the Goldfeather has distinguished itself through its exceptional handcrafted dials. Until now, these creations were presented exclusively in precious metal cases such as platinum or gold. The introduction of stainless steel represents a fresh and contemporary interpretation, without compromising the collection’s refined identity.
The dial is created in collaboration with Hataman Touen, a prestigious kiln renowned for its mastery of Imari Nabeshima porcelain. As a guardian of traditional craftsmanship, Hataman Touen continues to preserve the classical designs of Imari Nabeshima porcelain while embracing new creative challenges, driven by an uncompromising pursuit of excellence in materials, techniques, and aesthetics. This philosophy aligns seamlessly with Credor’s own reverence for fine watchmaking craftsmanship. Through the harmony of their shared values, a remarkable expression of Japanese beauty has been achieved.

The new Credor Goldfeather Imari Nabeshima is housed in a stainless steel case that retains the elegant proportions and design of previous editions. Measuring 37.1 mm in diameter and just 8.3 mm in thickness, it embodies the ideal dimensions of a refined dress watch. The bezel and slender lugs are finished with Zaratsu polishing, while water resistance is rated at 30 metres. On the case back, the Hataman Touen logo is subtly engraved alongside the “Limited Edition” marking.
The dial showcases a distinctive gradation characteristic of Imari Nabeshima porcelain, combining a rich cobalt blue hue with a translucent white porcelain base. An alternating pattern features deep blue feather motifs beneath the indexes and transparent feather motifs between them, creating a refined visual rhythm. To achieve this layered depth, the gradation, indexes, and two feather variations are applied across separate stages of the glazed dial. The deep blue feathers and gradation are applied prior to glazing, while the transparent feathers and indexes are added atop the glazed surface. In total, the dial undergoes five firings, resulting in softly nuanced blue tones and an exceptionally elegant finish.
The dial begins as a larger porcelain disc that undergoes firing before being precisely reduced to a thickness of approximately one millimetre using advanced grinding techniques. This step is crucial, as such a thin porcelain dial would otherwise be susceptible to warping under high temperatures. By carefully controlling this delicate process, the dial not only resists deformation during firing but also achieves the subtle curvature that defines the Goldfeather’s signature aesthetic.

Powering the watch is the ultra-thin hand-wound calibre 6890, measuring just 1.98 mm in thickness. The movement beats at 3 Hz, offers a power reserve of approximately 37 hours, and delivers an accuracy rated between +25 and –15 seconds per day.
The watch is fitted with a black crocodile leather strap secured by a stainless steel folding buckle. The Credor Goldfeather Imari Nabeshima Porcelain Dial is produced as a limited edition of just 60 pieces and is priced at USD 12,600, equivalent to approximately AED 46,300.
