A Bold Green Hue Adorns the Latest Timepiece from the Swiss Company
Back at Baselworld 2019, Chronoswiss introduced the Flying Grand Regulator Open Gear ReSec, aptly named for its distinctive retrograde seconds display and an innovative 3D dial adorned with hand-crafted guilloché patterns. The standout feature is the retrograde seconds hand positioned at 6 o’clock, which resets to zero every 30 seconds.
Since then, the collection has become one of the company’s most iconic and successful lines. Over the years, we have witnessed numerous editions inspired by various elements. Now, Chronoswiss launches the ReSec Snake, a bold evolution in mechanical wristwatches and daring design.
Slithering between heritage and rebellion, this timepiece is a hypnotic blend of color, contrast, and kinetic energy, “proof that modern mechanical watchmaking still has a few fangs to bear,” as Chronoswiss puts it.
Comes in a polished Grade 5 titanium case, with a green PVD-coating, the case features a polished bezel adorned with partial knurling, adding a touch of sophistication, while the curved, double-coated anti-reflective sapphire crystal ensures optimal dial visibility. The case measures 42 mm in diameter and 14.2 mm in thickness, and it features an teh famous onion crown of the brand and a sapphire crystal caseback.
The dial of this timepiece boasts a beautiful 3D construction, featuring hand guilloché patterns complemented by a green CVD coating. The hours are displayed through a subdial with a large pointer at 12 o’clock, in a blue color that matches the minutes chapter ring surrounding the dial.

while the minutes are indicated with a central minute hand, and the retrograde second hand is positioned at 6 o’clock. The ceramic indices are coated with Super-LumiNova, ensuring readability in all lighting conditions.
The ReSec Snake is powered by the Chronoswiss Manufacture Caliber C. 6005. Developed in collaboration with La Joux-Perret and it's the same caliber used in the previous ReSec editions.
This automatic movement operating at 28,800 vph (4Hz), offering a 55-hour power reserve, with a skeletonized rotor made of tungsten.
The timepieces come with a white rubber strap, and it is limited to 100 pieces. Priced at CHF 14,900 which is equivalent to 65,275 AED.
