Introducing Breguet Refreshes the Tradition Collection with a Modern Touch
Welcome to the hub of the horoloy
Honoring 30 Years of the First Skeletonized Chronograph
To mark the 30th anniversary of the Opus collection, Chronoswiss unveils the Opus Dakar edition. The name draws its inspiration from the desert-toned color palette of Dakar, the capital of Senegal, reflecting authenticity, endurance, and a quiet strength.
The Opus Dakar preserves the design DNA that made the original 1995 model a milestone for the brand, as it was Chronoswiss’s first skeletonized chronograph, a true horological breakthrough. This new edition refines that pioneering spirit through modern materials and a tactile sense of restraint.
Housed in a 41 mm Grade 5 titanium case with a thickness of 14.8 mm, the watch embodies strength and sophistication. Crafted from 23 solid components, the case features a harmonious blend of satin-brushed and polished surfaces. The partially knurled bezel frames a curved sapphire crystal with double-sided anti-reflective coating, ensuring perfect legibility from every angle.
A sapphire crystal caseback reveals the movement within, while water resistance up to 100 meters and screw-in lugs with the brand’s patented Autobloc system highlight its technical ingenuity.
The skeletonized CVD-coated brown dial radiates warmth and depth. Beneath it, the black galvanic skeletonized bridges and main plate create a striking contrast, enhancing legibility despite the openworked design. Rhodium-plated hands ensure clarity when reading the time.
Central hours, minutes, and seconds are complemented by a 30-minute counter at 12 o’clock, a 12-hour counter at 6 o’clock, a small seconds display at 9 o’clock, and an analog date at 3 o’clock. Surrounding the composition is a finely detailed 60-minute scale.
At the heart of the watch beats the Chronoswiss Caliber C.741S, a fully skeletonized automatic chronograph movement finished in galvanic black. Measuring 30 mm in diameter and 7.9 mm in height, this finely engineered caliber operates at 4 Hz (28,800 vibrations per hour) and offers a power reserve of approximately 46 hours. Its openworked architecture reveals meticulous craftsmanship, a skeletonized and CVD-plated rotor adorned with Côtes de Genève.
The bridges and base plate feature refined perlage finishing, all enhanced by the dark galvanic treatment that underscores the movement’s technical sophistication and contemporary aesthetic. The Chronoswiss Opus Chronograph Dakar is paired with a sand-colored nubuck leather strap. priced at CHF 13,900 which is equivalent 63,850 AED.
