Introducing Breguet Refreshes the Tradition Collection with a Modern Touch
Welcome to the hub of the horoloy
A contemporary pocket watch created to champion modern British watchmaking
Christopher Ward has built its modern identity around the belief that British watchmaking can be progressive, technically advanced, and culturally confident. Studio Underd0g, by contrast, arrived as a younger and more expressive voice, reshaping familiar watch forms through colour, texture, and a deliberately unconventional visual language. While both brands operate in different emotional registers, they share a commitment to independence and to building a recognisable creative identity.
Their first collaboration does not take the expected route of another wristwatch. Instead, The Alliance 02 is presented as a contemporary pocket watch, conceived as a statement piece that reflects the creative confidence currently shaping British watchmaking. Beyond its design intent, the project also carries a clear purpose, with all profits directed to the Alliance of British Watch and Clock Makers to support the growth, visibility, and infrastructure of the domestic industry.
The watch is housed in a stainless steel case whose architecture draws directly from Christopher Ward’s Light-catcher design language. This sculptural form has been reinterpreted for a pocket watch format, preserving the interplay of curves and edges. The case measures 44 mm in diameter, and a sapphire exhibition caseback reveals the movement within.

The dial is made of brass and treated with seven layers of custom Super-LumiNova pigment, producing a luminous surface that transitions from off-white into warm peach and light orange tones. Above this sits a 1.4 mm sapphire disc carrying the printed minute track and Roman numerals, giving the markings the appearance of floating above the glowing dial. The dial also features polished steel alpha-style hands and a power reserve indicator.

Powering the watch is Christopher Ward’s hand-wound calibre CW-001, previously known as SH21. Conceived as an in-house, chronometer-grade movement, it provides a long 120-hour power reserve and operates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz).
The watch is delivered with a braided leather strap and accompanied by a bamboo display stand. Production is limited to 100 individually numbered pieces, and is priced at £2,995, approximately AED 14,800.
