The New Patek Philippe Twenty~4 7340/1R Perpetual Calendar

Introduced in 1999, the Twenty~4 collection was Patek Philippe’s first dedicated line of feminine timepieces. The original model featured an Art Deco-inspired manchette (cuff) design, but in 2018, the brand unveiled the Twenty~4 Automatic, which is a round-cased iteration powered by an automatic movement. This year, Patek Philippe elevates the collection further by introducing a perpetual calendar complication, marking the collection's debut in the realm of Grand Complications.
Crafted entirely in 18K rose gold, the watch features a 36mm case with a slender profile of just 9.95mm, making it sit gracefully on the wrist. The case is meticulously finished with a combination of polished and brushed surfaces, enhancing its refined aesthetic. Two dial options are available. The Ref. 7340/1R-001 features a silvery opaline dial with a vertical satin finish, evoking the texture of shantung silk that feature irregular texture, while the Ref. 7340/1R-010 presents an olive green sunburst dial for a more contemporary appeal.

Introducing Christopher Ward introduces the new C1 Moonphase

The C1 collection gets a new addition in a captivating aventurine dial

Christopher Ward is a British watch company founded in 2004 by Mike France, Peter Ellis, and Chris Ward. The brand aims to produce luxury timepieces at affordable prices. In 2015, Christopher Ward introduced its first moonphase module, which was showcased in the C9 Moonphase. Four years later, the brand unveiled the C1 Moonglow, featuring two 3D moons on the dial positioned opposite each other. This year, Christopher Ward has released a new, simpler aesthetic timepiece with a captivating aventurine dial that beautifully represents the night sky, the “C1 Moonphase”.

The watch comes in a brushed and polished stainless steel case, measuring 40.5mm x 13.3mm. The case is topped by a box-shaped sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coatings on both sides, and a push-down crown with a twin flag motif. It also boasts a sapphire case back and is water-resistant up to 30 meters.

The aventurine dials make for an ideal choice in moonphase watches, with the glass infused with reflective copper oxide flakes, creating a distinctive night sky effect. The C1 Moonphase dial dispenses with markers and indices, enabling the natural allure of the aventurine to shine through. The dial showcases polished hands and two oversized 3D moons. These moons are 25% bigger than any previous Christopher Ward ‘moon’, with one perpetually concealed, crafted from luminescent Globolight, a fusion of ceramic and Super-LumiNova.

At the heart of the C1 Moonphase beats with the in-house automatic Caliber JJ04, based on Sellita SW200-1 with the brand’s moonphase module. This movement operates at 28,800vph (4Hz) and boosts 38 hours of power reserve. The watch can display the Moon's phases for 128 years. Additionally, it showcases a DLC finished rotor with twin-flags engraving that is visible through the sapphire case back.

The watch is available in two versions, one with a blue Italian leather strap, priced at USD 2,325, equivalent to AED 8,600, and another with a stainless steel five-row bracelet with a deployant Clasp, priced at USD 2,475, which is equivalent to AED 9,100.
