A Collaboration with Andrew Morgan Watches features a red dial
Christopher Ward has announced the new Bel Canto C1 in a striking red hue, marking the first collaboration edition of the GPHG 2023 Petite Aiguille prize. This special edition is the result of a partnership with Andrew Morgan Watches, led by Andrew Morgan, formerly of Watchfinder’s platform.

Morgan shares his enthusiasm: “I’ve been a fan of the Bel Canto since its initial launch, but I missed out on ordering one. When I inquired with the Christopher Ward team about any remaining stock, they informed me there were none left. However, they offered me the opportunity to create my own version. I immediately knew I wanted it in red. Red is the third most popular color after blue and green, and since Bel Canto already comes in those colors, it felt like the perfect choice”.

The timepiece boasts a brushed and polished case made from grade 5 titanium, marrying strength with aesthetics. Its caseback is stamped with the Andrew Morgan Watches logo. At the 2 o’clock position, the push-down crown to set the time is elegantly adorned with a twin flag motif, while a 4 o’clock-positioned pusher activates or deactivates the chiming complication. An anti-reflective domed sapphire crystal safeguards the dial, optimizing readability while ensuring durability against scratches and glare. And the case is sized at 41mm.

The Bel Canto Red One showcases an open-worked dial in an ‘Intense Red’ color, in homage to a few of Morgan’s favorite things. The base is sunray finished, while the gongs are mirror polished, and the time is displayed on an off-centered subdial at 12 o'clock.

Equipped with a self-winding movement with an FS01 caliber, based on Sellita SW200-1, the timepiece chimes on the hour. Its floating time display showcases the fully visible mechanism, complemented by hand-finished bridges, a spring, and a hammer. Operating at 28,800 VpH and offering a 38-hour power reserve, the usual jewels in the movement have also been swapped for colorless sapphires.
Comes with a Delugs White Rubber CTS or Delugs Grey Alcantara Signature, with quick-release pins. Available for pre-order from June 27th until July 4th with delivery from December 2024 priced from £3,195 which is equivalent to 14,900 AED
