The Iconic TAG Heuer Monaco Collection: Where Heritage Meets Innovation
Over the years, TAG Heuer has continued its Swiss Avant-Garde legacy, delivering a diverse range of timepieces for various purposes, from everyday wear to specialized sports watches for diving and golfing. Today, under the leadership of CEO Frédéric Arnault, TAG Heuer remains a prominent name in the luxury watch industry, known for its precision, innovation, and enduring legacy.
TAG Heuer, founded in 1860 by Edouard Heuer in Saint-Imier, Switzerland well known for its association with motorsport heritage, has unveiled the limited-edition TAG Heuer Monaco Chronograph Racing Blue Caliber 11. This timepiece pays homage to French Racing Blue while combining vintage charm with modern design elements. The Monaco watch's fame reached new heights when the renowned actor Steve McQueen sported it on his wrist in the movie "Le Mans” in 1971.
The essence of racing heritage comes to life in the limited-edition TAG Heuer Monaco Chronograph Racing Blue Caliber 11, skillfully crafted with a distinctive sandblasted grade 2 titanium case. With its 39mm rugged and stealthy appearance, complemented by the unique left-hand crown layout that adds a touch of retro charm.
The captivating dial of the watch boasts a silver sunray-brushed surface, adorned with azure blue subdials. Modern lime green and electric yellow accents inject a vibrant flair on the seconds hand, making this timepiece a true standout on the wrist. Moreover, the use of Super-LumiNova ensures excellent visibility in all lighting conditions and a date indicator at 6 o’clock.
The dependable Sellita SW300-1 based Caliber 11 movement lies at the core of the TAG Heuer Monaco Chronograph Racing Blue. This self-winding mechanism guarantees precise timekeeping, accompanied by a generous 40-hour power reserve to ensure seamless functioning. By combining historical charm with modern mechanics, TAG Heuer showcases its dedication to crafting timepieces that boast both aesthetic appeal and technical advancement.
The timepiece comes adorned with a cobalt blue calfskin rally strap, further paying tribute to the French motor racing team's colors. The strap is secured with a titanium Heuer shield deployant clasp, ensuring a comfortable and secure fit on the wrist. Limited to only 1,000 pieces worldwide, each watch is individually numbered, making it a coveted collector's item.
The TAG Heuer Monaco Chronograph Racing Blue Caliber 11 is priced at USD 9,200 which is nearly AED 36,000. Available at TAG Heuer boutiques, online, and other retail partners.
