Introducing Cartier Unveils the Tank Cintrée Montenapoleone

Founded in 1847 in France, Cartier gained widespread acclaim for its innovative watchmaking, characterized by simple and elegant designs. Over the years, the brand has introduced many remarkable collections, with the "Tank" collection standing out as one of its most releases. The Tank watch was first launched in 1917, inspired by the shapes of military tanks during World War I, embodying creativity and historical significance in its design. Today, Cartier unveils the "Tank Sentry Montenapoleone," in celebration of the 50th anniversary of the Cartier store at 16 Via Montenapoleone It is available in this store only. 

The watch boasts a rectangular 950 platinum case, embellished with a sapphire on the crown. It has dimensions of 46.3mm × 23mm in width, and 6.9mm in thickness. Staying true to its classic design, the polished vertical sides of the case elegantly contrast with the satin-finished horizontal surfaces, with platinum solid caseback.

The dial showcases a galvanized silvered opaline finish, accented with grey Arabic numerals. The numbers 1 and 6 are highlighted in burgundy, reflecting the boutique's location at Via Montenapoleone 16. It also features a minute railtrack road, Arabic numerals, and apple-shaped hands.

Powered by the hand-wound Calibre 1917 MC movement, this timepiece offers a 38-hour power reserve and a frequency of 21,600 vph (3 Hz). Cartier’s dedication to craftsmanship is evident in the exquisite Côtes de Genève finishes of the movement. The brand has created a fully curved movement that perfectly matches the shape of the case, rather than opting for a smaller alternative. It comes with a glossy burgundy alligator strap with a pin buckle.
