The Skeletonized Design in an Elegant Blend of DLC-Coated Titanium and Rose Gold
Bvlgari introduced a skeletonized version of its iconic Octo Finissimo line in 2022. The Octo Finissimo Skeleton 8 Days first appeared in pink gold with a leather strap, followed by a titanium version paired with a bracelet. Now, the collection welcomes a third iteration that bridges the aesthetic gap between its predecessors. Still crafted from titanium, the case now features a black DLC coating, using grade 5 titanium for added robustness.
Two months ago, Bvlgari unveiled the Octo Finissimo Skeleton 8 Days Gübelin Special Edition, created in collaboration with the Swiss retailer Gübelin.
The black DLC-coated titanium case retains the distinctive angular 40mm Octo Finissimo silhouette, measuring just 5.95mm thick. Sapphire crystals on both sides maximize the view of the intricate movement.
While an 18k rose gold crown with a black ceramic insert adds an elegant touch.
The skeletonized dial reveals Bvlgari’s finely finished movement. Black PVD-coated bridges expose the inner workings, including the barrel positioned between 12 and 2 o’clock. Rose gold hands and applied indices, along with a small seconds subdial and a power reserve indicator at 7:30, complete the sophisticated look.
At its heart beats the ultra-thin mechanical manufacture movement, the manual-winding calibre BVL 199 SK, first launched in 2022. Measuring just 2.50mm thick, it offers an impressive 8-day (192-hour) power reserve from a single barrel and operates at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour (3Hz).
The watch is paired with a black rubber strap secured by a DLC-coated titanium pin buckle. Not a limited edition, this new Octo Finissimo Skeleton 8 Days is priced at EUR 28,000, approximately AED 120,000.
