Introducing Breva Unveils the Segreto di Lario Meridian Gold

Giving its signature design an elegant gold tone

Breva entered a new era in 2025 under the leadership of Julien Haenny, whose two decades in watchmaking gave the relaunch both credibility and direction. The inaugural watch of this renewed chapter was the Segreto di Lario in rose gold, a piece that set the tone for the collection’s blend of mechanical distinction and instrument-inspired design.

The collection is defined by its retrograde displays, compact cushion-shaped case, and elegant character. Following the first release, the brand expanded the line with two titanium models, and now it introduces the Segreto di Lario Meridian Gold with a handsome gold-toned dial.

The case measures 41 mm in diameter and 11.10 mm in thickness, and is made of Grade 5 titanium. Its cushion-shaped form remains one of the defining elements of the collection, giving the watch a strong profile while keeping it relatively light on the wrist. The caseback is fitted with a sapphire crystal and secured by four screws, while water resistance is rated at 50 metres.

The dial is rendered in a slightly matte powder-gold tone, a first for Breva, and this is what gives the Meridian Gold its distinct personality. The hands are differentiated by tone, with gold-coloured minute hands, silver-toned hour hands, and blued hands for the power reserve and retrograde seconds. The layout retains the collection’s signature style, anchored by a wind rose at 12 o’clock and crossed retrograde scales that shape the watch’s identity. Functions include hours, minutes, retrograde seconds, and a double retrograde power-reserve display, with one hand tracking the reserve across six days and the second taking over for the final 24 hours with greater precision.

Inside is the calibre C101, a hand-wound movement developed for Breva Genève with Jean-François Mojon on a Chronode base. It runs at 21,600 vph (3 Hz) and delivers a power reserve of seven days.

The watch is paired with a light brown leather strap. It is not a limited edition, but it will be produced in restricted quantities. Pre-orders open on March 30, 2026, with first deliveries expected in autumn 2026. The price is CHF 46,000, approximately AED 213,000.
