The Aventurine Dial Highlights One of the Brand’s Most Stunning Complications
The Terra Nova collection by Bremont draws inspiration from early 20th-century military pocket watches, combining rugged durability with modern mechanical precision. Among them, the Terra Nova Jumping Hour introduces a distinctive complication in which the hour is displayed through a rotating disc that jumps instantaneously at the start of each hour, while minutes and seconds remain clearly indicated. This innovative design merges mechanical sophistication with practical readability and robust construction. At Dubai Watch Week 2025, Bremont presented the latest iteration of this model, the “Terra Nova Jumping Hour Aventurine”, featuring a deep blue Aventurine dial that evokes the night sky while maintaining the technical and durable characteristics of the Jumping Hour line. The limited edition highlights both aesthetic refinement and mechanical precision, representing Bremont’s ongoing commitment to functional and adventurous timepieces.
The Terra Nova Jumping Hour features a delicately grained and polished two-piece 904L stainless steel case, measuring 40.5mm in diameter, 47mm in length, and 10.15mm in thickness. Its cushion-shaped profile maintains the collection’s contemporary field watch proportions, while the frosted finish adds a distinctive lustre. The watch is equipped with a push-in crown, a decorated 904L stainless steel case back, and a flat anti-reflective sapphire crystal, combining durability with refined aesthetics. Water-resistant up to 100 metres, the case balances robustness and elegance, making it ideal for both daily wear and adventurous activities.
The Terra Nova Jumping Hour Aventurine features a striking blue Aventurine dial framed by an applied window border, emphasizing the depth and brilliance of the stone. Two offset apertures display the hour and minute indications, positioned on the left side of the dial between the center and the 9 o’clock mark.
The hour window uses white numerals, complemented by a minute window with white printed numerals, silver printed minute track, and hour markers. Key markers at 12, 3, 6, and 9 o’clock, as well as the central seconds hand, are coated with Super-LumiNova for optimal visibility and precise readability in any light condition.
The watch is powered by the exclusive BC634 calibre, developed in collaboration with Sellita. This high-torque movement features a precise instantaneous hour jump, executed in under one tenth of a second, ensuring seamless time indication. The BC634AH movement incorporates a Glucydur balance wheel, and Anachron balance spring, for exceptional reliability and accuracy. Running at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz), it offers a robust 56-hour power reserve, combining technical sophistication with enduring performance.
It is paired with a blue gradient leather strap, produced as a limited edition of just 50 pieces, and is priced at GBP 8,950 which is equivalent to AED 43,000 approximately.
