A Limited Edition Chronograph Featuring a High-Performance Swiss Movement in a Titanium Case
Brellum is an independent Swiss watch brand founded in 2016 by Sébastien Muller, whose family boasts over four generations of watchmaking expertise. The brand's headquarters are located in Porrentruy, Switzerland, at the heart of the Jura region, renowned for its rich horological heritage. The name Brellum is derived from the Latin word "Brellium," the ancient Roman name for Porrentruy, where the brand is based.
Brellum specializes in creating high-quality, limited-production mechanical watches that combine timeless design with modern functionality. The brand is particularly celebrated for its COSC-certified chronometers, which emphasize precision and reliability. Each Brellum timepiece exemplifies Swiss craftsmanship and meticulous attention to detail.
Recently, the company unveiled its latest timepiece, the Pandial Bicompax Black DLC Ti Chronometer, an addition to the Pandial collection. This series of high-performance chronographs reflects the brand's commitment to blending traditional Swiss craftsmanship with contemporary design.
The Pandial Bicompax Black DLC Ti Chronometer features a 43.5mm case made of Grade 5 titanium with a sleek black DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating. The case, measuring 15.90mm in height, incorporates a glossy black crown and pushers, complemented by a black aluminum tachymeter insert on the external bezel. While the bezel and crown boast a polished finish, the rest of the case maintains a matte look, thanks to the DLC treatment. Domed sapphire crystals on both sides of the case ensure 100 meters of water resistance.
The dial of the Pandial Bicompax showcases a multi-hued blue design, with a lighter outer section featuring applied luminous indices and a darker center. Polished indexes and hands, paired with Super-LumiNova accents, feature a subtle black stripe that complements the case’s aesthetics. The raised, snailed black sub-dials include a 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock and a small seconds sub-dial at 9 o’clock, while a white-on-black date display is positioned at 6 o’clock.
At the heart of the watch is the Brellum BR-111 Bicompax movement, a chronometer certified by the COSC. Built on the trusted La Joux-Perret base, this movement is renowned for its reliability and innovation in the world of horology. Marking its debut in the Pandial collection, the BR-111 features a column wheel, operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4Hz), and offers an impressive 60-hour power reserve. The fully decorated movement includes perlage, Geneva stripes, blued screws, and a numbered Brellum black rotor.
The watch is paired with a black curved-end Nebur Tec strap, complete with a DLC-coated Grade 5 titanium deployant clasp. Limited to just 46 pieces, the Pandial Bicompax Black DLC Ti Chronometer is priced at CHF 3,290, equivalent to approximately 13,700 AED.
