Introducing Breitling Unveils a New Superocean Heritage B20 Edition

SuperOcean dive watch was designed in response to the rise of professional and leisure scuba diving. In 1957, Breitling took the plunge into the undersea world with two pioneering dive watches called the SuperOcean the world's first dive chronograph. Today's Superocean Heritage combines vintage-inspired design cues with modern craftmanship, it features signature details like the iconic triangular-shaped hands.

In 2017, Swiss watchmaker Breitling introduced a significant update to its iconic Superocean Heritage collection. The redesign featured a new movement and contemporary upgrades while preserving the classic 1950s-inspired aesthetic. Originally launched in 1957, the Superocean Heritage remains one of the brand's best-selling lines.

This three-hand watch is now available in various sizes and colors. As a special highlight, Breitling unveiled a limited-edition model for the UK and Ireland, featuring an elegant anthracite gray dial. This timepiece offers a contemporary twist on the classic Superocean heritage.

The watch boasts a 42mm stainless steel case with a thickness of 14.35mm. Its 1950s-inspired curved lugs. Notably, the unidirectional diving bezel is now crafted from durable, scratch-resistant ceramic, replacing the aluminum bezels seen in previous editions. With a screw-down crown and caseback, the watch offers an impressive water resistance of 200 meters. The dial is protected by a domed sapphire crystal, ensuring durability and clarity.

The anthracite gray dial complements the black ceramic bezel and features a captivating sunburst finish. The dial design stays true to its vintage roots, with triangular hands and applied polished hour indices coated in white Super-LumiNova. The chapter ring also features luminous markers for optimal readability in low-light conditions. A discreet date window sits at 6 o’clock, blending seamlessly into the design with its white background.

At its heart lies the B20 automatic movement, developed in collaboration with Tudor. This COSC-certified chronometer beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) and offers a robust 70-hour power reserve, ensuring reliable performance for everyday wear.

Limited to just 500 pieces, this exclusive model is priced at GBP 4,650 (approximately AED 21,870) on a steel mesh bracelet and GBP 4,450 (approximately AED 20,930) on a textured rubber strap. It is available exclusively in the UK and Ireland
