The first Avenger model to feature Eastern Arabic numerals
Breitling introduces a new Middle East exclusive timepiece: the limited-edition Avenger 42 Night Mission, now featuring Eastern Arabic numerals on the dial. This special edition is limited to just 100 pieces across the region.
The brand has a long history of offering special editions for the Middle East, most notably within the Chronomat collection. Last year, Breitling celebrated the 75th anniversary of its UAE retailer, َAhmed Seddiqi, with a commemorative Avenger Automatic 42 Night Mission. The Avenger collection has even been used to pay tribute to pop culture, such as the iconic Japanese anime Astro Boy, through previous special edition.
The Avenger 42 Automatic Night Mission features a robust 42 mm case crafted entirely from black ceramic, with a thickness of 12.25 mm and a lug-to-lug measurement of 51.21 mm—delivering a substantial yet wearable wrist presence. Its cambered sapphire crystal, treated with anti-reflective coating on both sides, ensures clear legibility under all conditions, while the titanium caseback with a sapphire insert adds a lightweight, technical touch.
The screw-locked titanium crown, equipped with double gaskets, works seamlessly with the unidirectional black ceramic timing bezel, engraved with a 60-minute scale and Breitling’s signature “rider tabs” at the cardinal points, providing precise timing functionality. A screw-down crown at 3 o’clock ensures 300 meters of water resistance, making the watch as capable underwater as it is striking.
The dial presents a matte black finish with black-plated Eastern Arabic numerals, marking the first Avenger model exclusive to the Middle East to feature this numeral style. Carbon Super-LumiNova coats the indexes, numerals, and hands for superior legibility in low light, while the seconds hand tip and the “Avenger” logo are highlighted in red for a sporty contrast against the otherwise black-and-white palette. The date window pops with a white background and black numerals, which could also be rendered in Eastern Arabic numerals to harmonize with the limited-edition design.
Powering this timepiece is the three-hand automatic Breitling Caliber 17, a COSC-certified chronometer based on the reliable ETA 2824-2 movement. It operates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and offers a power reserve of approximately 38 hours. Completing the package is a black military leather strap secured with a titanium folding-pin buckle.

The Avenger Automatic 42 Night Mission Middle East Edition is region exclusive, limited to only 100 pieces.
