Tri-Compax Dial Featuring Cobra-Inspired Details
Many luxury brands have rushed to release limited and exclusive editions to celebrate the beginning of the Year of the Snake in the Chinese calendar. Among these brands, Breitling stands out as one of the key companies to unveil a special edition for this occasion. The "Avenger B01 Chronograph 44 Cobra Edition" is a testament to Breitling’s commitment to precision and innovation, reflecting the symbolism of the snake, representing wisdom, beauty, and mystery in Chinese culture. Known for creating timepieces favored by military and civilian pilots alike, Breitling continues to offer rugged, high-performance watches.
The Avenger B01 Chronograph 44 Cobra Edition features a robust stainless steel case, offering both durability and strength. The case has a diameter of 44 mm, a thickness of 15.2 mm, and a height lug-to-lug of 53 mm, giving it a solid presence on the wrist. Its screw-down caseback showcases a striking red snake slithering over the open surface, symbolizing the Year of the Snake in Chinese culture and adding a unique touch to the design. The unidirectional bezel allows for precise timing, while the screw-locked crown with two gaskets between the chronograph pushers ensures the watch is securely sealed, making it water-resistant up to 300 meters. The cambered sapphire crystal is glare-proofed on both sides, providing excellent visibility in various lighting conditions.
The dial is yellow, symbolizing the brand, while the subdials are black with a Tri-Compax design and red chronograph hands. The 9 o'clock subdial features a red cobra motif, inspired by the occasion of the watch's launch. Red accents adorn the subdials and the tip of the central seconds hand, which is coated with white Super-LumiNova, alongside the hour and minute hands and Arabic numerals. A white minute track is printed along the black edge of the dial, and a date window is positioned at 6 o'clock for added functionality.
The watch is powered by the Breitling 01 movement, a self-winding mechanical caliber entirely manufactured by Breitling. The movement offers a robust power reserve of 70 hours. Featuring a chronograph with 1/4th second, 30-minute, and 12-hour counters, it ensures precise timekeeping for any timing needs. With a vibration rate of 28,800 vph (4Hz), it delivers smooth and accurate performance. Additionally, the movement is equipped with a skeleton rotor, further highlighting its intricate craftsmanship and technical excellence.
It comes with a Anthracite calfskin leather strap, and stainless steel Folding clasp. This watch is limited to 200 pieces, and priced at SGD 11,310 approximately AED 30,800.
