Introducing ID Genève Unveils the Circular S Eclipse
Welcome to the hub of the horoloy
One of Lederer’s finest works distilled into a smaller case
Bernhard Lederer continues his relentless pursuit of precision and horological exploration with the new CIC 39 mm Longitude.
A direct descendant of the CIC 44 Triple Certified Observatory Chronometer, renowned for its chronometric excellence and tribute to the great observatories, the CIC 39 mm Longitude represents a seamless union of maritime tradition and contemporary Haute Horlogerie.
Far more than a mere aesthetic refinement, this timepiece embodies both technical mastery and refined design. It adopts the balanced proportions and sleek elegance of the CIC 39 mm collection, while retaining the mechanical soul and architectural spirit of the CIC 44.
More than 95% of its components, ranging from the dial and hands to the bridges and the smallest wheels are conceived, crafted, and hand-finished entirely in-house.
The watch is presented in a 39 mm white gold case, with a thickness of 10.75 mm. A domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating ensures clarity, while the exhibition caseback offers a captivating view of the movement within. Water resistance is rated at 30 meters.
Two dial variations are available, both manufactured entirely in-house. The pure white dial recalls the dazzling brilliance of sails billowing in the wind, while the cobalt blue dial evokes the clear, vibrant skies of a sunlit sea. An off-centered small seconds subdial, inspired by historical marine chronometers, provides a distinctive visual signature.
At the heart of the CIC 39 mm Longitude lies a proprietary Lederer caliber featuring a double detent escapement, reinforced by two remontoirs d’égalité.
This patented mechanism minimizes energy loss and ensures consistent precision, even under demanding conditions. The movement is composed of 212 meticulously hand-decorated components, driven by two independent barrels and gear trains. Beating at a frequency of 21,600 vibrations per hour (3 Hz), it delivers a power reserve of 40 hours.
Production is strictly limited to 24 pieces, divided into two exclusive series of 12—one with the white dial and one with the cobalt blue dial. The blue dial version is paired with a brown leather strap, while the white dial edition comes on a blue leather strap, both secured with a white gold pin buckle.
The CIC 39 mm Longitude is priced at CHF 158,000, equivalent to approximately AED 728,500.
