Introducing Two New Anoma A1 Optical
Welcome to the hub of the horoloy
An amazing collaboration merging Chinese tradition with Russian ingenuity
In a remarkable partnership that brings together one of Russia’s leading independent watchmakers and Chinese mechanical innovation in the world of haute horlogerie, Behrens × Konstantin Chaykin have unveiled their latest creation: the Ace of Hearts collection. This timepiece is the result of a collaboration that began three years ago, in 2022 a dialogue between two distinct design philosophies that found common ground in a unique and captivating way.
This limited-edition series combines Behrens’ asymmetrical, complication-focused vision with the expressive and character-rich style that Konstantin Chaykin is known for through his Wristmons collection. Inspired by ancient Chinese artistry and infused with a modern, playful spirit, the Ace of Hearts is a complex mechanical creation that blends technical ingenuity with emotionally charged visual storytelling.
The case that houses this mechanical marvel is as distinctive as the dial itself. It features a modern trapezoidal shape, measuring 42mm by 37mm with a slim profile of just 7.9mm. This unique geometry makes a strong visual statement on the wrist, setting it apart from the round or rectangular cases commonly seen in the market.

The Ace of Hearts is available in five case material options, each with its own visual identity and level of exclusivity. These include grey Grade 5 titanium and SPSCF diamond carbon fiber, an advanced composite that is lightweight and durable, featuring a woven pattern unique to each piece. The carbon fiber version comes in either black or white.
At the highest end of the collection are the spectacular full-sapphire cases, machined from single blocks of synthetic sapphire, a material nearly as hard as diamond. Their full transparency allows light to illuminate the dial and movement from all angles, creating a stunning three-dimensional effect. This version is offered in vibrant blue or pink.
The dial design is a fascinating fusion of cultures. It pays homage to the "Pottery Storyteller Beating a Drum," a type of ceramic sculpture from the Chinese Han era known for its expressive and joyful depiction of performers.
This historical reference is blended seamlessly with the iconic Joker-style face created by Konstantin Chaykin. The result is a playful, optimistic design that feels like a storytelling companion on the wrist.
The complexity of the design goes beyond aesthetics. The watch incorporates 11 patents, a testament to the technical innovation behind its creation. The dial is constructed with multiple layers that provide visual depth and texture, evoking both mechanical precision and organic artistry, reminiscent of a stylized, grinning skull.
Time is indicated through two large circular "eyes" at the top of the dial, displaying the hours and minutes. This is a recognizable element from Chaykin’s design language. The seconds indicator is the most whimsical feature. A red, heart-shaped hand representing the “Ace of Hearts” follows a unique, looping path at the bottom of the dial, rather than moving in a traditional circular sweep. This animation is powered by Behrens’ patented stone mill mechanism, adding a dynamic and captivating element to the display.
To maintain the dial’s clean layout, the power reserve indicator is subtly integrated into a small display at the 12 o'clock position. Powering the open-worked design is the in-house Calibre BM07, a manual-wind movement developed by Behrens. It provides a 46-hour power reserve. The finishing reflects a high level of craftsmanship, with brushed plates, mirror-polished pivots, and chamfered edges that demonstrate the brand’s attention to detail.
Each edition comes fitted with a fluoroelastomer strap, chosen for its resistance to heat, oxidation, and corrosion. The strap is secured with a Grade 5 titanium clasp.
All versions are limited editions. The grey Grade 5 titanium model is limited to 600 pieces. The SPSCF carbon fiber models are limited to 150 pieces. The blue sapphire version is limited to 80 pieces, and the pink sapphire version to just 20.
The Grade 5 titanium model in grey is priced at $8,250 USD (approximately AED 30,280). The SPSCF diamond carbon fiber models in black or white are priced at $10,120 USD each (approximately AED 37,150). The most exclusive versions, featuring full sapphire cases, are priced at $14,960 USD for both the blue and pink editions (approximately AED 54,930).
