A design inspired by one of Venice’s most iconic architectural landmarks
Beda’a unveils the Angles Mecaline “Italy,” a limited-edition timepiece inspired by the timeless grandeur of Venice. Last month, the Qatari brand presented the first mechanical edition of its elegant dress watch, Angles, one of its best-selling models.
Now, the maison reveals a special version that draws inspiration from the refined geometry of the Palazzo Ducale, fusing Italian cultural heritage with contemporary watchmaking precision. With this creation, Beda’a celebrates Italian artistry and its enduring influence on modern aesthetics.
The watch’s octagonal case echoes the architectural rhythm of the palace’s façade, while the dial showcases a finely detailed geometric motif that reinterprets the building’s signature lozenge patterns. Staying true to the design of previous Mecaline editions, the case measures 37 mm by 34 mm with a slim profile of just 6 mm.
The dial features a distinctive configuration with Roman numerals at 12, 3, and 9 o’clock, complemented by a small seconds sub-dial at 6 o’clock, underscoring the model’s mechanical character.
At its heart beats the ETA 7001 caliber, marking Beda’a’s first use of a mechanical movement. Renowned for its reliability and ease of maintenance, this hand-wound caliber delivers a 42-hour power reserve and operates at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3 Hz).

Completing the look is a textured beige strap that adds an understated touch of sophistication, enhancing the dialogue between material and design.
The Mecaline “Italy” is limited to just 50 pieces and is priced at CHF 1,250 which is equivalent to 6,390 AED.
