A refreshed design and enhanced features for the brand’s best-selling model
We recall last year in Geneva, the unveiling of the new brand Beda’a and the buzz it created as Qatar’s emerging watchmaker. Now, on the occasion of Geneva Watch Days, the brand continues to define its growth strategy by introducing the first mechanical version of its best-selling flagship: the Angles collection.

Until now, the Angles was available exclusively with a quartz movement. With this launch, it joins the rest of Beda’a’s portfolio in embracing mechanical watchmaking.
The transition required no less than 15 months of development, with countless micro-adjustments to ensure the evolution remained nearly invisible. The difference between the quartz and mechanical versions is a mere 0.7 mm. The case measures 37 mm x 34 mm, with a slim 6 mm thickness.
Achieving this delicate balance called for subtle refinements: a slimmer bezel, dial, and crystal, as well as a solid caseback to avoid the additional thickness of a sapphire exhibition back. “And a new crown,” notes Sohaib Maghnam, “because the Angles Mecaline is hand-wound, the crown had to be redesigned to ensure perfect handling in everyday use.”
The Angles Mecaline is offered in two variations, with a black or taupe-grey dial. Both versions forgo hour markers, instead featuring a small seconds subdial at 6 o’clock in a sector-style design, finished with either a semi-matte sunray or circular pattern on a glossy surface. Complementing the minimalist dial are polished dauphine steel hands.
Powering the Angles Mecaline is the ETA 7001 caliber, marking Beda’a’s first use of a mechanical movement. Known for its reliability and ease of maintenance, this hand-wound caliber provides a 42-hour power reserve and beats at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3 Hz).
Both editions are paired with Epsom leather straps and a stainless steel pin buckle. The Angles Mecaline is a permanent addition to the collection, not a limited edition, and will be available through Waqt E-Shop, the official retailer of Beda’a in the UAE.
