A National Day Tribute Featuring Maroon Accents Inspired by the Qatari Flag
Beda’a introduces a new special edition of its renowned Eclipse timepiece in celebration of Qatar’s National Day on December 18th. Limited to just 50 pieces, this release follows the overwhelmingly positive reception of the Eclipse collection and responds to the growing demand from friends and collectors for new iterations. The watch serves as a tribute both to the Maison and to its home country, Qatar.
Building on the original Eclipse, first presented by the Qatari brand and followed by the second iteration, the Eclipse 2, unveiled at the recent Watches and Wonders, this Qatar Limited Edition returns to the design codes of the first Eclipse. The signature blue accents are replaced with a deep maroon, echoing the colors of Qatar’s flag. This striking hue is also featured on the caseback via a newly designed maroon rotor. Eastern-Arabic numerals take center stage to indicate the hours, while the “Beda’a” badge on the dial is replaced with elegant Arabic calligraphy.
Crafted from 904L stainless steel, the case measures 37 mm in diameter and 8.1 mm in height, offering a sleek yet robust presence on the wrist. A sapphire crystal caseback reveals the Swiss movement within, while water resistance of 30 meters ensures suitability for everyday wear. The caseback is also printed with “One of Fifty” and “Limited Edition Qatar 2025.”
A polished bezel flows seamlessly into the beautifully executed lugs, which extend into the mid-case in a design reminiscent of crown guards. The embellished crown completes the refined exterior.
At the heart of the Eclipse lies its defining element: the celestial shield. Covering most of the dial, it leaves only a window for reading the hours. Surrounding it is a floating minutes hand, shaped like sun rays emerging from behind the dark arc of an eclipse. The multi-layered shield and 3D dial architecture create visual depth and a captivating luminous effect unique to the collection.
For this Qatar edition, the minute-track indices and hour disc appear in a rich maroon tone, inspired by the national flag. The hours are displayed in Eastern-Arabic numerals, “Beda’a” is written in Arabic script, and the watch name “Eclipse Steel” appears in English, creating a balanced bilingual presentation.

Powering the timepiece is the Sellita SW300 Swiss automatic movement, beating at 28,800 vph and offering a power reserve of up to 56 hours. The maroon rotor, exclusive to this edition, can be admired through the sapphire caseback.
The watch is paired with a deep maroon alligator leather strap and a stainless-steel pin buckle. The watch is a Limited edition of 50 pieces, available exclusively through the brand’s official website.Priced at CHF 2,700.
