Introducing Breguet Refreshes the Tradition Collection with a Modern Touch

The final releases of French brand’s MR collection
Within a remarkably short time, Baltic has established itself as one of the most compelling young names in contemporary independent watchmaking. The Paris-based brand built its name on classic watches, mechanical integrity, and a pricing strategy that keeps traditional watchmaking accessible.

The MR line, short for “micro-rotor,” has always held a distinct place within the brand’s portfolio. It leans into a more classical direction, presenting an accessible, vintage-inspired watch grounded in the refined aesthetics of 1940s dress timepieces. Over the past four years, the MR evolved into a model that comfortably blurred the line between modern watchmaking and vintage charm. Its compact dimensions, polished surfaces, and sector-inspired dial architecture gave it a quiet elegance. Today, Baltic brings this chapter to a close with the MR Moissanite Final Edition, seeing an update in the future.

The watch is housed in a 316L stainless steel case that preserves the balanced proportions that have defined the MR collection. The diameter measures 36 mm, while thickness comes in at 9.9 mm. Polished lugs extend across the upper surfaces, contrasted by brushed case flanks that introduce subtle visual depth.

Encircling the dial is a bezel set with baguette-cut moissanite stones. Moissanite is a lab-grown gemstone composed of silicon carbide, valued for its exceptional hardness and remarkable brilliance. Often considered one of the closest alternatives to diamond. A transparent caseback reveals the movement in full view, showcasing the micro-rotor architecture and reworked bridges. Water resistance is rated at 30 meters.

The dial is presented in glossy black and offered in two executions. One features polished leaf hands, while the other adopts faceted and polished dauphine hands. The layout remains focused on hours and minutes, with a small seconds subdial positioned between 6 and 9 o’clock.

Powering the watch is the Hangzhou CAL5000a automatic movement equipped with a micro-rotor. It operates at a frequency of 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and delivers a power reserve of 42 hours.

The watch is available either on an Italian calf leather strap or on a stainless steel beads-of-rice bracelet. This edition is limited to 200 pieces. Pricing is set at €1,100, approximately AED 4,900 on the leather strap, and €1,160, approximately AED 5,000 on the stainless steel bracelet.
