Introducing Breguet Refreshes the Tradition Collection with a Modern Touch
Welcome to the hub of the horoloy
A limited edition inspired by the legendary myth of Atlantis
Awake is still a relatively young name in watchmaking, but it has already managed to define itself with more clarity than many brands that have been around far longer. Since its founding, the French independent has approached watches less as isolated objects and more as vehicles for ideas, craft, and cultural dialogue.

That rhythm is what makes the Son Mai collection so important to the brand, as it has used this line to explore the depth and nuance of Vietnamese lacquer artistry in a way that feels purposeful and alive. The latest expression of that is the Son Mai Silver Leaf Atlantis Blue. Inspired by the myth of Atlantis and the shifting mystery of the ocean depths, this new limited edition builds on the artistic foundations of the collection while introducing a cooler, more immersive visual mood.

The case measures 39 mm in diameter and 11.80 mm in thickness including the crystal, or 10.90 mm without it. It is made of 316L recycled stainless steel, giving the watch a compact and versatile footprint that suits the refined nature of the dial while also reflecting the brand’s modern and thoughtful approach. On the reverse, the watch is fitted with a screw-down sapphire crystal caseback that reveals the movement inside. Water resistance is rated at 50 meters.

The blue dial is, unsurprisingly, the focal point of the watch. Entirely handmade using traditional Vietnamese techniques, it combines silver leaf, lacquer, and natural pigments to create a richly layered surface that captures the mood of the deep sea. The hands and indices are filled with Super-LumiNova BGW9, while Awake’s exclusive luminous coiffe signature adds another detail that strengthens the watch’s identity.

Powering the watch is the La Joux-Perret G101, an automatic movement visible through the sapphire caseback. It beats at 28,800 vph (4 Hz) and delivers a healthy 68-hour power reserve. The watch comes fitted on a blue suede strap with a rubberized calf lining and tone-on-tone stitching, secured by a pin buckle. It is limited to 100 pieces and priced at EUR 2,000, approximately AED 8,500.
