A new addition with a luxurious white gold and black ceramic case
In 2019, Audemars Piguet introduced the Code 11.59 collection, sparking quite a debate among watch enthusiasts. Some praised the fresh, modern look, while others were skeptical since the watch strayed from the brand's legendary Royal Oak. Despite the mixed reactions, Audemars Piguet stayed true to its vision of innovation. Just a year later, they released the Code 11.59 Flying Tourbillon Chronograph, which brought together the flying tourbillon and the complexity of a flyback chronograph.
Now, AP is releasing a new addition to this collection, featuring a two-tone case that combines 18k white gold and black ceramic, along with an architectural movement in contrasting shades of black and anthracite gray.
The new addition features an eye-catching case design that showcases fine modern materials and finishes. The case middle and crown are crafted from sleek black ceramic, while the bezel, lugs, and pushers are made from 18k white gold. A beautiful mix of brushed and polished finishes enhances the watch's sophisticated aesthetic. Measuring 41mm in diameter and 13.8mm thick, the case is completed with glareproof sapphire crystal on both the dial and the caseback, offering a clear view of the intricate movement inside.
The openworked dial reveals gray bridges that highlight Audemars Piguet's exceptional architectural design. A dark gray inner bezel frames the dial, while 18k pink gold hour and minute hands, coated with luminescent material. The 30-minute and 12-hour counters are positioned at 9 and 3 o’clock, offering a glimpse of the gears. At 6 o’clock, the 60-second flying tourbillon takes center stage.
The watch is powered by the in-house Calibre 2952, an automatic chronograph movement composed of 479 components. Operating at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3Hz), it delivers precise timekeeping and offers an impressive 65-hour power reserve. The timepiece is paired with a dark gray rubber-coated strap and secured by an 18k white gold AP folding clasp. Pricing is available upon request.
