A Women's Timepiece with a Diamond-Set Case and Astronomical Dial
Arnold & Son offers a range of distinguished collections, each embodying a different facet of the brand’s rich horological heritage and technical mastery. These collections showcase a commitment to innovation, precision, and artistry, with models that often draw inspiration from astronomy and marine navigation. Among them, the Perpetual Moon collection is particularly renowned for its sophisticated lunar phase complications and meticulous craftsmanship. In one of its latest releases, Arnold & Son introduces the “Perpetual Moon 38 White Gold Aventurine Edition”, reinforcing the brand’s legacy of blending precise mechanical engineering with elegant design.
The watch comes in an elegantly crafted 18-carat white gold polished case, measuring 38 mm in diameter and 10.44 mm in thickness, striking a perfect balance between presence and wearability. The bezel, lugs, and crown are set with 80 brilliant-cut diamonds, adding a refined sparkle that complements the deep blue aventurine dial. The domed sapphire crystal on both the front and case back is treated with anti-reflective coating to ensure optimal legibility from every angle, while the transparent case back offers a clear view of the intricate mechanical movement within. And it offers 30 meters of water resistance.

The dial is crafted from deep blue aventurine glass, evoking the appearance of a starry night sky. It features twelve marquise-cut diamond-set hour indices that add a refined sparkle and enhance its elegance. The moon phase display is seamlessly integrated into the dial with a blue aventurine sky, while the moons themselves are crafted from luminous mother-of-pearl enhanced with Super-LumiNova for a subtle glow in low light. Hand-painted constellations of Cassiopeia and Ursa Major further embellish the dial, also treated with Super-LumiNova to create a captivating celestial effect visible both day and night. This dial perfectly balances artistry and technical precision, embodying Arnold & Son’s heritage of astronomical watchmaking.
The watch is powered by the meticulously crafted Calibre A&S1612, a mechanical movement with manual winding designed specifically for this model. It operates at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3 Hz), and boasts an impressive 90-hour power reserve, allowing extended autonomy between windings. The movement is beautifully finished with rhodium-plated main plates adorned with circular graining, decorated with radiating Côtes de Genève stripes, and golden-finished wheels with circular graining. Blued and chamfered screws with polished heads add to the refined aesthetics. This calibre incorporates a highly accurate moon phase complication that deviates by only one day every 122 years, embodying Arnold & Son’s dedication to horological excellence and astronomical precision.
It comes with a midnight-blue satin alligator leather strap and is secured by an 18-carat white gold pin buckle, exquisitely set with 22 brilliant-cut diamonds. This watch is a limited edition of 18 pieces and is priced at CHF 54,900, which is approximately equivalent to AED 252,000.
