A Captivating Blend of Opal and Turquoise in an Exclusive Edition for the American Market
Arnold & Son continues its mineral odyssey with audacity and elegance, transforming natural stone into horological art. At the heart of this design lies the astronomical moon: a three-dimensional sphere, 12 mm in diameter, moving to the immutable rhythm of day and night, offering a cosmic spectacle in miniature.
The new Luna Magna Steel Turquoise, created exclusively for the Americas (United States, Canada, and Mexico), draws its inspiration from the symbolic richness of the region’s turquoise. Revered by many indigenous civilizations for its protective qualities, this ancestral stone now finds a new form of expression in horology. Previous editions have been seen in red gold, including a special edition made for the Chinese New Year.
Housed in a 44 mm steel case with gently rounded contours and polished surfaces, the watch measures 15.90 mm in thickness. It features a box-shaped sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides.
Turquoise, with its unpredictable veins and distinctive patterns, demonstrates the unrivalled beauty of nature. As a living material, no two dials are alike—each is individually selected by Arnold & Son.
The celestial globe itself, half Cacholong opal, half turquoise, embodies a new elegance: the purity of the opal embraces the veined blue of the turquoise, offering a novel vision of the moon at the heart of the Luna Magna. Animated by the lunar phases, this three-dimensional sphere transforms the watch into a living landscape in perpetual renewal. By day or night, it plays with light: reflecting the natural sheen of the minerals in sunlight and glowing with the mysterious halo of Super-LumiNova in darkness.

The off-center dial displays the hours and minutes on a white opal disk, featuring blued hands and Roman numerals.
Under the sapphire case back lies the in-house A&S1021 calibre. This manually-wound movement, intricately designed around the lunar globe, offers 90-hours of power reserve and operates at 21,600 vph (3 Hz). The movement also reveals a secondary display of the moon's phase, marked by highly legible graduations that facilitate exceptionally precise and easy adjustments to the lunar globe.

Its sophistication lies not only in its aesthetics, but also in its accuracy. The calibre faithfully respects the duration of a lunation 29 days, 12 hours, 44 minutes and 2.8 seconds. Thanks to this meticulous calculation, it would take 122 years for a single day’s discrepancy to appear between the display and the actual lunar cycle, if the watch were kept fully wound.
black alligator leather strap with turquoise stitching, additional turquoise alligator leather strap with black alligator leather lining, both closed with a stainless steel folding clasp. Priced at USD 53,400 which is equivalent to AED 196,000
