Introducing Arnold & Son Unveils the Constant Force Tourbillon 11 Platinum Edition

A limited edition marks the final chapter of the Constant Force Tourbillon 11 collection

Arnold and Son stands among the few watchmaking houses that faithfully carry forward the spirit of eighteenth-century precision timekeeping. Founded by the legendary English watchmaker John Arnold, the brand helped shape the history of marine chronometers and contributed to major advances in measuring longitude at sea.

This philosophy continues with the Constant Force Tourbillon 11 collection, a series inspired by the historic No. 11 chronometer and the friendship between John Arnold and Abraham-Louis Breguet. The new platinum edition is released as part of the brand’s participation in Dubai Watch Week 2025 and marks the final chapter of this collection.

The watch features a platinum case measuring 41.5 mm in diameter and 13.7 mm in thickness. Its rounded profile gives the watch an elegant presence on the wrist, enhanced by a slim polished bezel framing a domed sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating on both sides. The reverse side features a sapphire caseback that reveals the architecture of the calibre, including the tourbillon and constant-force mechanism. The watch is water-resistant to 30 metres.

The dial is crafted from solid 18K yellow gold and finished entirely by hand using a traditional tremblé guilloché technique. This engraving creates a textured pattern inspired by the fern-covered landscapes of Cornwall, the birthplace of John Arnold. The surface is pierced to display a white opal subdial for the hours and minutes, while the constant-force mechanism sits beneath a gold bridge and delivers power to the tourbillon in precise one-second beats.

Inside the watch is the manual-winding calibre A&S5219 with constant force and a one-minute tourbillon. It operates at a frequency of 21,600 vph (3 Hz) and offers a long power reserve of 100 hours. The movement is finished to an exceptional level with graining, polished bevels, hand engraving, and flame-blued components, echoing the aesthetic of the original tourbillon regulator created by Breguet in 1808.

The watch is fitted with a hand-stitched midnight-blue alligator leather strap with a black alligator lining and secured by a platinum folding clasp. This model is produced in a limited edition of 11 pieces and is priced at CHF 140,600, approximately AED 647,400.
