The Nebula 40 Steel: Reimagined with a modern case and skeletonized dial
Arnold & Son takes the Nebula collection to another level with a new release that reimagines the design of the iconic series. Featuring a modernized case with thoughtful updates, the watch blends sophistication with technical prowess. This collection showcases Arnold & Son’s unwavering commitment to craftsmanship, combining precision mechanics with striking aesthetics. It comes in two distinct versions—a black dial and a golden version—along with a range of straps to choose from.

The case of the Nebula collection has undergone a significant redesign, achieving a modern and refined look. Featuring streamlined lugs, a softly rounded bezel, and a more vertical case middle, the case’s proportions are perfectly balanced with a 40 mm diameter and a slim thickness of just 9.10 mm. Crafted in polished stainless steel, the case is equipped with a domed sapphire crystal treated with anti-reflective coating and a sapphire display case back. The watch is water-resistant up to 30 meters.
The Nebula 40 Steel is available in two initial steel versions. The first showcases a black-treated mainplate, flange, and barrel covers, while the second version features gold-colored flanges and movement components. The central hours and minutes hands are complemented by a small seconds display positioned at 7 o’clock, adding a dynamic touch to the dial layout.

The seven bridges that surround the dial are palladium-finished, providing a brilliant contrast with their satin-finished surfaces and polished corners. These meticulous finishes are emblematic of Arnold & Son’s dedication to fine craftsmanship, further enhanced by the intricate 'Rayons de la Gloire' motif—a signature aesthetic detail of the brand.
At the heart of the Nebula 40 Steel collection is the in-house A&S5201 calibre, a movement specifically developed for the Nebula line. Inspired by nebulae, the architecture of the movement is defined by seven functional and skeletonized bridges, harmoniously arranged to create an open, star-like structure that reflects the collection's celestial namesake. The interplay of these bridges, with their hollowed-out centers and polished internal and external chamfers, brings a sense of depth and elegance to the movement's design.
On the reverse side, the case back reveals two large, intersecting ogival bridges that support the functional components of the movement. Powered by two large barrels arranged in series, the Nebula 40 Steel offers an impressive 90-hour power reserve—an exceptional feature for a skeletonized timepiece, though characteristic of Arnold & Son calibers. The energy from the barrels is transferred to the gear train, whose layout continues the star-shaped design theme, culminating in a balance wheel oscillating at 3 Hz (21,600 vph).
The black edition is available with a choice of three bracelets: a stainless steel bracelet with a three-link design, an alligator leather strap, and a textured rubber strap. The second, gold-colored version is exclusively available on the steel bracelet and is limited to 88 pieces,
