A sand-colored dial inspired by Burgdorf’s sandstone
In 2021, Armin Strom introduced the Tribute 1, a collection that marked the brand’s entry into the dress watch category with a modern aesthetic, defined by an off-centered dial and an exposed power barrel. This year, the brand unveils the Tribute 1 Sandstein, a new interpretation inspired by Burgdorf, Switzerland, the hometown of Armin Strom’s founders Serge Michel and Claude Greisler, celebrated for its distinctive sandstone architecture.
The watch is presented in a stainless steel case measuring 38 millimeters in diameter and 9.38 millimeters in thickness, with alternating brushed and polished finishes. Both the front and back are fitted with sapphire crystals, and the water resistance is rated at 50 meters.
The dial embraces a warm sand-colored tone, featuring an off-center layout enhanced by a grain d’orge guilloché pattern and Roman numerals. A frosted subdial introduces contrast and texture, while polished rhodium-plated hands ensure legibility. At the lower side of the dial, the motor barrel takes prominence, secured by a mirror-polished bridge.

Powering the watch is the in-house Calibre AMW21, a hand-wound movement operating at 25,200 vph (3.5 Hz) and offers an impressive 100-hour power reserve. It comes with a sand-toned Alcantara strap with off-white stitching, secured by a stainless steel folding clasp. The watch is limited to 50 pieces and is priced at CHF 22,000, approximately AED 100,500.
