Welcome to the hub of the horoloy
A limited edition combining the split seconds with world time complication
Andersen Genève occupies an exceptional position within Swiss watchmaking. Operating far from the logic of large-scale industrial production, the maison has built its identity around limited, collector-oriented creations and an uncompromising dedication to traditional hand craftsmanship. The brand was founded by Svend Andersen, one of the founding members of the Académie Horlogère des Créateurs Indépendants, with a vision that treats each watch as a work of art before it is an instrument of timekeeping.
The brand is widely regarded as a specialist in world time watches, a complication that has defined Andersen Genève since 1990. Over the years, it has explored this display through multiple limited series such as the Communication 45, each shaped by a pursuit of clarity, compact construction, and artisanal finishing. This year, Andersen Genève introduces the Rattrapante Mondiale, its most ambitious expression of this philosophy to date, presenting a watch that unites two of horology’s most revered complications: the split-seconds chronograph and the world time display.

The watch is housed in a platinum case measuring 38.8 mm in diameter with a thickness of 11.95 mm. The case is hand-finished and fitted with a domed sapphire crystal, along with a sapphire exhibition caseback that reveals the movement while maintaining a water-resistance rating of 30 meters.

The dial is crafted from solid white gold and finished with vertically brushed surfaces. It features a blue enamel track and applied indexes, while the central display is organised around classical chronograph subdials, with a 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock and a small seconds subdial at 9 o’clock. Surrounding these elements, a sapphire city disc and a 24-hour ring indicate global time across multiple zones. Along with a complex split-seconds complication that allows intermediate times to be captured via an additional chronograph hand.

Powering the watch is the manually wound Venus 179 calibre, enhanced by Andersen Genève with an ultra-thin world time mechanism. The movement operates at a frequency of 18,000 vph (2.5 Hz) and delivers a power reserve of 42 hours.
The watch is paired with a handmade suede strap secured by a platinum pin buckle. It is limited to 8 pieces and priced at CHF 184,000, approximately AED 847,000.
