Two new releases with smaller cases and openworked dials
In 1901, Alpina began producing its own watches, marking a significant step in its history. Since then, the brand has launched a diverse range of collections, all at affordable prices, staying true to its philosophy of making quality timepieces accessible. Among its standout collections is the Alpiner Extreme Automatic, and now, Alpina introduces two new openworked models to this collection, offering smaller cases and striking new aesthetics.
The watch retains its signature cushion-shaped stainless steel case, but the size has been reduced from 41 mm x 42.5 mm to a more compact 39 mm x 40.5 mm. It features a case thickness of 11.50 mm and a screw-down crown, ensuring water resistance up to 200 meters. The case also showcases a blend of brushed and polished finishes, while the bezel is secured by six screws with heads shaped like the iconic Alpina triangle.
In addition to the reduced size, the dial has been openworked, offering a view of the movement's components. The steel bracelet version features elegant gray accents on the dial, while the rubber strap version showcases blue accents throughout, including the crown, dial flange, and strap. Both the hands and indices are coated with Super-LumiNova for improved readability in low-light conditions. Powering the watch is the AL-520 Skeleton caliber, based on the Sellita SW200, an automatic movement that operates at 28,800 vph (4Hz) and provides a 38-hour power reserve.

Both the integrated stainless steel bracelet and the blue rubber strap are equipped with a folding buckle. The watch is priced at EUR 2,395 / AED 9,800 for the version with the blue rubber strap, and EUR 2,695 / AED 11,000 for the version with the integrated steel bracelet.
