The LM Perpetual EVO and Baguette Diamonds Honor the Lasting Partnership
2025 marks the 75th anniversary of Ahmed Seddiqi, MB&F’s longstanding retail partner in Dubai, a partnership rooted in friendship and shared passion for horology. As Maximilian Büsser revealed in our recent interview, this milestone is celebrated with not one but two remarkable limited editions, both powered by MB&F’s award-winning Perpetual Calendar calibre.
To commemorate this special occasion, the two partners present seven pieces of the LM Perpetual EVO Seddiqi 75th Anniversary Edition and five pieces of the LM Perpetual Baguette Diamonds Seddiqi 75th Anniversary Edition, each adorned with MB&F’s signature blue highlights.
For over seven decades, Ahmed Seddiqi & Sons has been a cornerstone of the Middle Eastern watch landscape, nurturing a deep appreciation for fine watchmaking and supporting independent brands such as MB&F. This collaboration not only honors the Seddiqi family’s pioneering role in horology but also celebrates the enduring friendship between the two houses.
Reflecting on this bond, Maximilian Büsser, Founder and Creative Director of MB&F, shares: “I have been privileged, over the last 27 years of their 75-year history, to count the Seddiqi family among my closest friends. They welcomed me when I was at my most vulnerable, helped me through difficult times, and celebrated our greatest achievements together. It is therefore my privilege and honour to mark this milestone of Ahmed Seddiqi with two incredibly rare and special MB&F pieces. Both are based on the ground-breaking Perpetual Calendar developed by Stephen McDonnell. For such an exceptional anniversary, we had to choose an equally exceptional movement.”
First launched in 2015, the GPHG award-winning Legacy Machine Perpetual quickly became a favourite among MB&F collectors. Over time, it evolved into the EVO editions, engineered for a more active lifestyle, featuring 80 metres of water resistance, a screw-down crown, an integrated rubber strap, and MB&F’s patented FlexRing, a proprietary annular dampener offering superior shock protection.
The case maintains the familiar 44mm diameter and 17.5mm thickness, preserving the commanding yet balanced proportions of previous editions.
LM Perpetual EVO Seddiqi 75th Anniversary Edition
Limited to just seven pieces, this edition is housed in a grade 5 titanium case engraved with the 75th Anniversary emblem. It stands out with a striking blue colour reminiscent of the LM101 MB&F × H. Moser, created exclusively for Ahmed Seddiqi in 2020. Here, the blue hue adorns the sub-dials, beautifully contrasting with the anthracite dial plate beneath.
LM Perpetual Baguette Diamonds Seddiqi 75th Anniversary Edition
Even more exclusive, this second edition is limited to only five pieces and introduces a first for the Legacy Machine Perpetual line — a refined bezel set with 48 baguette-cut diamonds. Crafted from stainless steel and engraved with the anniversary inscription, it mirrors the same signature blue theme, this time applied to the dial plate with contrasting black sub-dials.
At the center of the dial, you'll find the V-shaped bridge arching above the 14mm balance wheel, which is a signature element of the LM Series. The hours and minutes are indicated at 12 o’clock, with luminescent-tipped hands and light blue indices. Positioned at 3 o’clock are the days of the week, while the power reserve indicator is located at 5 o'clock. At 7 o'clock, you'll find the retrograde leap year indicator, with the months displayed at 6 o’clock and the date indicated at 9 o’clock.
Both timepieces feature a fully integrated perpetual calendar with manual winding with double mainspring barrels, a creation developed for MB&F by Stephen Mc Donnell, incorporating a mechanical processor and dial-side complication. It boasts a power reserve of 72 hours, operates at 18,000 vph (2.5 Hz), comprises 581 components, and includes 41 jewels.
Each edition comes with a strap tailored to its character. The LM Perpetual EVO features a sporty white rubber strap with a titanium folding buckle, while the LM Perpetual Baguette Diamonds is paired with a classic white hand-stitched alligator strap with a stainless-steel folding buckle.
The LM Perpetual EVO, limited to seven pieces, and the LM Perpetual Baguette Diamonds, limited to five pieces, are available exclusively at Ahmed Seddiqi.
As for pricing, the Legacy Machine Perpetual EVO is priced at approximately AED 758,600, while the Legacy Machine Perpetual Baguette Diamonds stands at approximately AED 939,200.
