Introducing Albishorn Unveils the Type 10 Officer
Welcome to the hub of the horoloy
A special set honoring years of friendship with a one of the most prestigious Swiss brand
For 75 years, Ahmed Seddiqi has played a pivotal role in shaping the horological culture of the Middle East since its establishment in 1950. The company has grown to become the region’s leading luxury watch and jewellery retailer, renowned for its expertise, curated selection, and dedication to preserving the art of fine watchmaking. Among the earliest brands to partner with Ahmed Seddiqi was West End Watch Co., a Swiss manufacturer founded in 1886 and celebrated for its durable, military-inspired designs. Together, these two names built a foundation of trust and craftsmanship that continues to inspire collectors to this day.
To commemorate this historic partnership, the two houses present the 75th Anniversary Limited Edition Set, a special release that encapsulates the essence of their shared legacy. The exclusive set includes both a wristwatch and a pocket watch, each designed to pay homage to a different era in West End’s storied history.

The wristwatch comes with a 39mm stainless steel case fitted with a box-shaped sapphire crystal that enhances its vintage charm. The case design takes inspiration from one of West End’s historic military-style models. Turning the watch over reveals an engraved caseback bearing the 75th Anniversary logo, alongside a quote from Ahmed Qasim Seddiqi, founder of Ahmed Seddiqi, who once described West End as “the mother of all Swiss watch brands.”

The dial is offered in either red or black sunray finishes, adorned with a diamond-cut sun motif that plays beautifully with the light recalling design cues from the 1960s through the 1980s. A date window is positioned at 3 o’clock, featuring an Eastern Arabic date display. Powering the watch is an automatic movement, paired with an easily adjustable stainless steel bracelet.
Accompanying the wristwatch is a finely crafted pocket watch that revisits West End’s origins as a trusted companion of the Indian Army and Railways during the 19th century. Its white dial, available with red or black cartouches and Eastern Arabic numerals, is complemented by elegant pear-shaped hands. The caseback mirrors that of the wristwatch, engraved with the anniversary logo and the founder’s quote.
Both timepieces are presented in a Swiss-made wooden box inspired by traditional Swiss army instrument cases. The set’s price is available upon request and will be offered exclusively through Ahmed Seddiqi boutiques across the UAE.
