A Symphony of Colors and Shapes on The Wrist
Raketa, the esteemed Russian watch brand, introduces another timepiece inspired by Russian avant-garde artists. The new Avant-Garde watch builds on the original model, known for its iconic red triangular hand, and elevates it to a fundamentally new level of design. Avant-garde is French for "vanguard". The term is commonly used in many languages to refer to people or works that are experimental or innovative.

This latest version is influenced by a communist propaganda lithograph by El Lissitzky, as well as 20th-century Russian artists like Malevich and Kandinsky, who revolutionized art with their colorful abstract shapes.
Raketa takes immense pride in its heritage, drawing inspiration from all things Russian. The brand continues to revive many of its iconic designs, as seen in the Russian Code model and the latest Polar watch.

The case is made of stainless steel, featuring a mix of polished and brushed finishes. It has a domed sapphire crystal on the front and a mineral glass case back. A ruby stone is set inside the crown. The case measures 39.5 mm in diameter, this is less than the previous versions, which were 40.5 mm in size. the case also offers water resistance up to 50 meters.

The dial of the Avant-Garde watch draws inspiration from Lazar Markovich Lissitzky's renowned work, "Beat the Whites with the Red Wedge." Lissitzky was a key figure in the Russian avant-garde movement that thrived from the late 19th to early 20th centuries.

This 1919 propaganda poster depicts a red wedge piercing through the defenses of its opponent, symbolizing the Bolsheviks' victory over the Whites. The watch's minute hand is shaped like this red wedge, and the numerals reflect the typography of that era.

The watch dial features a clean white base with a sunburst finish and a multi-layered design. The numbers at zero, three, six, and nine are in Russian and are applied directly on the dial, along with the brand logo.

The hour hand is highlighted with a red triangle, the minute hand is a sleek black circle, and the seconds hand is a black arrow. All hands are coated with Super-LumiNova for enhanced visibility in the dark.

The transparent case back unveils an exquisitely adorned automatic caliber 2615 movement, crafted and assembled entirely at the Raketa Watch Factory in Saint Petersburg. This movement operates at 18,000 vph (2.5 Hz) and provides a power reserve of 40 hours. The watch comes with a black leather strap at a price of AED 7,750.
