Large Date

It is a complex function of the date display, usually shown through two separate large windows on the main dial, one for the tens place (displaying two digits) and the other for the units place (displaying a single digit), making it easier and faster to read the date.

This date complication can be displayed on two overlapping discs within the main dial (one containing 15 numerals and the other containing 16) for proper fit. This makes the complication more difficult and consequently more expensive to manufacture.
