The Co-Axial is a mechanism used in Omega watches. It is an innovative gear system characterized by non-parallel axes that connect the main gear train with the escapement wheel. These axes are precisely adjusted to reduce friction and wear resulting from the continuous movement of the watch, thereby improving timekeeping accuracy and increasing the lifespan of the movement. This mechanism was developed by the british inventor George Daniels.
