Ceramic Creations Blending Diving Endurance with Worldtimer Functionality
Omega introduces a pair of Seamaster Planet Ocean Worldtimer models, sharing identical dive specs but with added complexity on the dial. As a Planet Ocean should, these worldtimer models retain 600m water resistance. Since 2017, this captivating style has been a popular choice within the brand’s Aqua Terra 150M range. Now, the mechanical complexity and aesthetics are reimagined in a bold new ceramic form, giving avid travelers two captivating choices to wear on their wrists.
Following the look of the Planet Ocean Deep Black, the new Seamaster Planet Ocean comes in a 45.5mm brushed black ceramic case with a thickness of 18.9mm and 52.4mm lug-to-lug. It features a unidirectional ceramic bezel, crafted using laser ablation. The majority of the surface has a raw finish, while the elevated numerals have a polished finish. A luminous dot marks the 60-minute indicator.
At the 10 o’clock position, the helium escape valve ensures professional dive capability, while the crown at 3 o’clock allows for winding and time-setting. These models incorporate ceramic inlays in either turquoise or gray.
The dials of these new Planet Ocean Worldtimers truly set them apart from the rest of the Planet Ocean series. The center is made of titanium, featuring a laser-ablated and varnished depiction of Earth as seen from the North Pole. On a lower level, there’s a rotating 24-hour disc displaying time across multiple time zones. The dial’s outer ring, crafted from brass with a black DLC treatment, houses applied hour indices, the city ring in two colors, a date window at 6 o’clock, and a honeycomb texture.
One version features turquoise accents on the world map’s oceans, the tip of the seconds hand, and the edge of the dial. The other version incorporates light gray for these same elements. Additionally, the lume treatment differs: on the turquoise model, the lume is conventional white, whereas on the gray model, the lume is also gray.
Powered by the automatic Calibre 8938 movement, manufactured in-house, this Master Chronometer-certified movement by METAS offers magnetic resistance up to 15,000 Gauss. It shares its base architecture with other 89xx movements, featuring two barrels in series for a 60-hour power reserve, a 3.5Hz frequency, a silicon balance spring, a free-sprung balance, and a Co-Axial escapement. In addition to hours, minutes, seconds, and date, it includes a worldtimer function and a practical time-zone adjustment, allowing the hour hand to be set in one-hour increments.

Comes with an integrated black structured rubber strap with black or gray rubber lining and turquoise or gray stitching, secured by a foldover clasp in brushed ceramic and titanium. The Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean Worldtimer models are released as part of the permanent collection, priced at USD 15,000, approximately AED 55,000.
